Welcome and Willkommen to Epochs of Fashion, a blog dedicated costume history, social history, and visual culture! My name is Dr. Nina Moller and I am an art historian, educator and self-taught maker of historical garments. My research specialisation is style revivals, and the social history of the period called the long eighteenth century. I also make marbled paper by hand using old techniques. I am delighted that you are here and share the passion for history, dress and sewing. 

On here I blog in English and German. You can discover information about fascinating people from the past, get sewing tips and have fun with history! The year of 2024 marked ten years since I started this blog. More than a whole decade of history discoveries, learning, sewing and educating now. What started out as a small passion project has grown remarkably, and the journey has continually kept inspiring me to sew, write, learn and create educational content.
