Welcome and Willkommen to Epochs of Fashion, a blog dedicated costume history, social history, and visual culture!

My name is Dr. Nina Moller and I am an art historian, educator and self-taught maker of historical garments. My research specialisation is style revivals and the social history of the Long Eighteenth Century. I am delighted that you are here and share the passion for history, dress and sewing.

Across this website, you can discover English- and German-language resources, learn about fascinating people from the past, get sewing tips and have fun with history! The year of 2024 marked ten years since I started this website. More than a whole decade of history discoveries, learning, sewing and educating now. What started out as a small passion project has grown remarkably, and the journey has continually kept inspiring me to sew, write, learn and create educational content. I am immensely grateful that so many of you share these interests with me. Here's to the next fabulous decade of dress history with Epochs of Fashion and Style!
